Cari amici,

Consentitemi di approfittare degli ultimi giorni di gennaio per presentarvi, sicuramente un po' tardi, tutti i miei migliori auguri di un anno santo e felice per voi e le vostre famiglie e anche - e soprattutto - per il futuro del nostro bellissimo pellegrinaggio Summorum Pontificum.

Con questo primo messaggio, come assistente segretario, vorrei semplicemente fornirvi alcune informazioni pratiche sul pellegrinaggio del 2020, perché è importante, in un lavoro comune, che l'informazione circoli bene fra tutti.

In primo luogo, e per il punto essenziale, il consigliere Riccardo Turrini Vita ha riuscito che siamo di nuovo benvenuti a San Pietro, sarà il sabato 24 ottobre, alle 11h30 (invece delle 12h00 precedenti, per consentire al incontro generale dei nostri amici di Una Voce nel pomeriggio): Deo gratias!

Venerdì, secondo il desiderio generale, la nostra cerimonia di apertura avrà luogo come l'anno scorso nel Pantheon - Basilica de Santa Maria ai Martiri - e il giorno
successivo la nostra processione potrà partire nuovamente dalla chiesa di San Lorenzo in Damaso: ringraziamo don Giorgio Lenzi per i suoi efficaci interventi con le due chiese.

Per la Messa Pontificale a San Pietro, il nostro assistente ecclesiastico, Padre Barthe, ha preso contatto con vari vescovi. Presto sarà in grado di dirci qui sarà il celebrante. Il coro a San Pietro, quest'anno, sarà organizzato da Una Voce, la cui generosa musica gratuita allevierà le nostre finanze. Come negli anni precedenti, la processione dovrà essere concordata con la polizia di Roma e dello Stato della Città del Vaticano.

Infine, domenica, come sempre, sarà la Fraternità di San Pietro che ci accoglierà per la Messa di chiusura e di ringraziamento a la parrocchia della Trinità dei Pellegrini. Ringraziamo di nuovo per la sua ospitalità.

Punto molto importante: sarà necessario garantire, al più presto, un'ampia pubblicità per il pellegrinaggio, in modo che i pellegrini che arrivano da molto lontano possano prendere rapidamente i voli aerei e l'alloggio. È quindi necessario iniziare a costituire, o ricostituire, i gruppi di sostegno del pellegrinaggio (in Italia sono numerosi, in Portogallo Senza Pagare, in Francia il pellegrinaggio della cristianità e Una Voce che hanno chiesto di far parte del CISP saranno eccellenti contatti, ecc). Sarà inoltre necessario occuparsi del servizio d'ordine e del coro per la processione. Possano coloro che, come gli anni passati, sono disposti a partecipare avvicinarsi a me in modo che possiamo prepararci per questo bellissimo momento.

Permettez-moi de profiter des derniers jours de janvier pour vous présenter, certes un peu tard, tous mes vœux de bonne et sainte année pour vous et vos familles et aussi – et surtout - pour le futur de notre beau pèlerinage Summorum Pontificum.

Par ce premier message, comme secrétaire-adjoint, je voudrais simplement vous apporter quelques informations toutes pratiques au sujet du pèlerinage 2020, car il est important, dans une œuvre commune, que l’information circule bien entre tous.

En premier lieu, et pour le point essentiel, le Conseiller Riccardo Turrini Vita a obtenu que nous soyons accueillis encore une fois à Saint-Pierre, ce sera le samedi 24 octobre prochain, à 11h 30 (au lieu de 12h précédemment, pour permettre l’assemblée générale de nos amis d’Una Voce dans l’après-midi) : Deo gratias !

Le vendredi, selon le vœu général, notre cérémonie d’ouverture pourra se dérouler comme l’an dernier à Notre-Dame des Martyrs du Panthéon et le lendemain notre procession pourra partir une nouvelle fois de l’église San Lorenzo in Damaso : nous remercions don Giorgio Lenzi pour ses interventions efficaces auprès des deux églises.

Pour la messe à Saint-Pierre, notre assistant ecclésiastique, l’abbé Barthe, a pris des contacts avec divers évêques. Il saura bientôt nous dire ce qu’il en est. Les chants à Saint-Pierre, cette année, pourront être assurés par Una Voce, dont la généreuse gratuité soulagera nos finances. Il restera, comme chaque année, à régler le déroulement de la procession avec les services de police de Rome et de l’Etat du Vatican.

Enfin, le dimanche, comme d’habitude, ce sera la Fraternité Saint-Pierre qui nous accueillera pour la messe de clôture et d’action de grâce à la Trinité des Pèlerins. Qu’elle soit une nouvelle fois remerciée pour son hospitalité.

Point très important : il faudra assurer, dès que possible, une large publicité au pèlerinage, pour que les pèlerins venant de loin puissent très vite prendre leurs dispositions. Il faut ainsi commencer à constituer ou reconstituer les groupes de soutien du pèlerinage (en Italie les relais sont nombreux, au Portugal Senza Pagare, en France le Pèlerinage de Chrétienté et Una Voce qui ont demandé de faire partie du CISP seront d’excellents relais, etc.). Il faudra également s’occuper du service d’ordre et la chorale pour la procession. Que ceux qui comme les années passées sont disposés à y participer se rapprochent de moi, et en fasse part autour d’eux de sorte que nous puissions préparer ce beau temps fort.

Allow me to take advantage of the last days of January to present to you, albeit a little late, all my wishes for a good and holy year for you and your families. And also - above all - for the future of our great Summorum Pontificum pilgrimage.

With this first message, as Assistant Secretary, I would simply like to bring you some very practical information about the 2020 pilgrimage, because it is important, in a common work, that information circulates well among all.

First of all, Councillor Riccardo Turrini Vita has obtained that we will be welcomed once again in St. Peter's, it will be on Saturday, October 24th, at 11:30 am (instead of 12 am the previous years. This is to allow the general assembly of our friends of Una Voce in the afternoon): Deo gratias!

On Friday, according to the general wish, our opening ceremony will be able to take place, as it did last year, at Our Lady of the Martyrs of the Pantheon and the next day our procession will leave once again from the church of San Lorenzo in Damascuso: we thank Don Giorgio Lenzi for his effective interventions in both churches.

For the Mass in St. Peter's, our ecclesiastical assistant, Father Barthe, made contact with various bishops. He will soon be able to tell us what the situation is. This year's hymns in St. Peter's will be provided by Una Voce, whose generous gratuity will help our finances. As every year, the procession will still have to be arranged with the police services of Rome and the Vatican State.

Finally, on Sunday, as usual, it will be the Fraternity of St. Peter who will welcome us for the closing Mass to the Trinity of Pilgrims. Once again we thank the Fraternity for its hospitality.

Very important point: the pilgrimage should be widely publicized as soon as possible, so that pilgrims coming from far away can make their arrangements very quickly. It is thus necessary to begin to set up or reconstitute pilgrimage support groups (in Italy there are many relays, in Portugal Senza Pagare, in France the Pèlerinage de Chrétienté and Una Voce who have asked to be part of the CISP will be excellent relays, etc.).
